1000Plan Professorship or equivalent |
1. The applicant should have worked either as professor or in equivalent position in world-renowned university or research institution; 2. The applicant should be world-class scholar; 3. The applicant should be under the age of 55 (the age limit may be loosened for an especially outstanding applicant). |
1. Yearly salary (equivalent to his/her salary level before coming to China) and housing will be negotiated upon each applicant’s special case; 2. The amounts of the start-up research fund and equipment purchasing fund, and relevant working condition will be negotiated based upon the research plan. |
1000Plan Professorship for Young Talents or equivalent |
1. The applicant should have a doctoral degree and is taking a formal position in a well-known university, research institution or enterprise as an assistant professor (or equivalent position) or above. Or as a professor at a “985” university (with more than three years’ overseas working or research experience); 2. The applicant has outstanding performance in the field compared to his/her age group, and has the potential to become a field leader; 3. Full-time engagement at Chongqing University once recruited. The age of the applicant shall be below 40 years old (the age limit may be loosened for an especially outstanding applicant). |

Changjiang Scholars/ National Outstanding Youth Fund Obtainer or equivalent |
1. Changjiang Scholars or National Outstanding Youth Fund Obtainer (or equivalent); 2. 5 years contract and full-time engagement at Chongqing University once recruited. The age of the applicant shall be below 45 years old. |
1. Yearly salary (over 400,000 RMB) and housing will be negotiated upon each applicant’s special case; 2. The amounts of the start-up research fund and equipment purchasing fund, and relevant working condition will be negotiated based upon the research plan. |
Hundred Talents Program of Chongqing University |
1. The applicant should have a doctoral degree from a well-known university (with more than three years’ overseas working or research experience); 2. The applicant has the potential to become a field leader or develop the field independently; 3. Full-time engagement at Chongqing University once recruited. The age of the applicant shall be below 40 years old. |
1. Yearly salary (over 200,000 RMB) will be negotiated upon each applicant’s special case; 2. The applicant will be provided with 1 million RMB start-up research fund and 200,000 RMB settling-in allowance, together with the opportunity to purchase a preferential house.

Young lecturers and Postdocs |
1. The applicant should have a doctoral degree from a well-known university; 2. The applicant shall observe have a high moral standard, serious attitude on doing research, personal integrity and good academic potential; 3. Full-time engagement at Chongqing University once recruited. The age of the applicant shall be below 35 years old. |
1. The salary ranges from 100,000 RMB to 200,000 RMB and will be negotiated upon each applicant’s special case; 2. The applicant will be provided with 200,000 RMB start-up research funds, 100,000 RMB settling-in allowance, and 2,000 RMB/month rent subsidies. |
